Pokhara Rhinos Unveil Logo and Jersey, Announce Squad for 2017

Pokhara Rhinos, a cricket team owned by Jagadamba Sports Private Limited (J4 Sports), Shanker Group’s latest venture has unveiled its logo, squad members, and jersey for EPL 2017 amidst great fanfare.

Representing one of Nepal’s most beautiful cities -  Pokhara, Pokhara Rhinos is set to display a stellar performance in the highly awaited Everest Premier League in Kathmandu coming December. The team is going to be captained by their marquee player, Shakti Gauchan and includes prominent Nepalese cricketing talents – Binod Bhandari, Sushan Bhari, Rajesh Pulami Magar, Bikram Sob, Saurabh Khanal, Nurdhoj Sen, Kishor Mahato, Santosh Bhatta, Sunil Dhamala, and Bipin Khatri. Besides three foreign players will also be joining the squad.

To provide a platform to the aspiring local talent, the management at J4 Sports shall be conducting a ‘talent hunt’. The team is accepting registrations, and the best player will get a chance to play for Pokhara Rhinos for three years. The intention behind the ‘talent hunt’ is to promote local talent, and provide them a platform to pursue cricket as a career.

The unveiling was done amidst a function and was attended by the Mayor of Pokhara Municipality Mr. Man Bahadur GC, Managing Director of J4 Sports Mr. Shahil Agrawal, Managing Director of EPL Mr. Amir Akhtar, Pokhara Rhino’s Captain Mr. Shakti Gauchan, and Pokhara Rhinos players Mr. Binod Bhandari and Mr. Rajesh Pulami Magar.
